The origins of STERED
At the heart of STERED lies Brittany.
Its language, culture, history, and influences have always been with us. They naturally shape the brand, with the restraint of things that have nothing to prove.
This connection nourishes STERED, far from conventional imagery and overly predictable expressions.
A Brittany that is heir to its history, yet fully alive in the present.
It is from this Brittany that STERED was born.
Le breton, naturellement
Depuis l’origine, la langue bretonne fait partie de STERED. Elle est présente dans nos collections comme dans notre communication, jusque dans le nom de la marque : stered signifie « étoiles » en breton.
Nous l’employons comme une langue d’aujourd’hui, à travers des mots et des expressions qui trouvent naturellement leur place dans l’univers de la marque.
Dès ses débuts, STERED adopte une communication bilingue, un site disponible en breton et un étiquetage bilingue. Cette démarche est distinguée en 2009 lors des Prix régionaux de l’Avenir du Breton, puis en 2010 par l’obtention du label Ya d’ar brezhoneg.
Des reconnaissances qui viennent saluer une démarche constante : faire vivre la langue bretonne au quotidien, à travers STERED.
Des vêtements conçus pour durer
Chez STERED, nous ne concevons pas des vêtements pour une saison, mais pour des années.
Nous sélectionnons des matières de qualité, accordons une attention particulière aux coupes et aux finitions, et travaillons avec des ateliers partenaires reconnus pour leur savoir-faire, principalement au Portugal.
Au fil des lavages, du soleil et des années, nos vêtements évoluent naturellement sans perdre leur tenue ni leur caractère.

STERED today
Sold exclusively online in its early days, STERED gradually found its place in stores. The brand is now distributed in over a hundred partner retail locations, in Brittany and beyond.
After several years in Rennes, STERED moved in 2021 to larger premises in Plougoumelen, in the Morbihan department, better suited to the growth of its business.
The collections are available online and shipped to many countries. The distribution network is also expanding internationally, particularly in Germany and Austria.
STERED continues to grow today, building on the momentum it gained when it started in 2009.
